On 11-06-2013 at approximately 1735 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 1300 North Iron Springs Road in Cedar City to a report of male subject laying in the roadway.  As deputies responded a witness stated the subject had something to his throat and was acting irrational.

On 08-22-13 an Enoch City resident received a phone call from a “Taylor and Associates” law firm with a phone number of 216-744-9385. They advised victim she had a cash advance loan due and if she did not send money they would come and arrest her. The victim did send them money using an electronic transaction. On 07/02/2013 at approximately 1730 hours, emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a structure fire near 1100 East 6000 N which is approximately 3 miles north of Newcastle Utah.  Emergency personnel were advised the grass next to a barn was on fire and spreading to the barn.  They were further notified other structures may be threatened as well.

On 05/10/2013 at approximately 1045 hours, emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a structure fire near 2500 North State Route 18 which is approximately 3 miles north of Enterprise Utah.  Emergency personnel were advised the structure was unoccupied but was full of farm equipment. They were further notified other structures may be threatened as well.

MANTI — Notorious fugitive Troy James Knapp, known by many simply as "The Mountain Man," has been taken into custody.

Iron County sheriff's officials confirmed that the 45-year-old was arrested Tuesday morning. He was taken into custody about 10 a.m. near Ferron Reservoir in Sanpete County by officers from Emery, Sanpete and Sevier counties.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Sheriffs' Association has written an open letter to President Barack Obama, respectfully outlining its opposition to executive orders announced this week altering gun laws.

Another southern Utah county has filed criminal charges against the skilled wilderness survivalist whose random cabin burglaries have vexed police for five years.

The Iron County Attorney on Friday obtained an arrest warrant for Troy James Knapp, charging him with four felony counts of burglary, one felony count of theft and three misdemeanor counts of theft. Infamous mountain man burglar caught on video, still roams free

SALT LAKE CITY — There has been yet another sighting of the infamousmountain man burglar Troy Knapp, this time with new video. Knapp is accused of breaking into cabins all around Utah and living off of what he finds there, and sometimes even leaving bullet holes or defacing religous icons.

Last month Knapp had apparently moved north to Fish Lake. Now, there video shows him in Sanpete County, closer to the Wasatch Front.
