Youth graduate Junior Deputy Academy

The group started out with 11 teenagers from ages 13 to 18, but after the first day of running a mile and a half, two immediately dropped out, leaving the nine to finish up.

$5K reward offered for information about homicide

CEDAR CITY — Police offered a reward Tuesday in connection with the May homicide of an Iron County woman.

The body of Cammi Denne Miller, 33, was discovered May 9 on the side of Tipple Road about two miles outside of Cedar City, according to the Iron County Sheriff's Office. Officials ruled the death as a homicide on May 15.

CEDAR CITY — Iron County sheriff's investigators said Thursday that the death of a woman whose body was found last week on the side of a dirt road south of Cedar City will be classified as a homicide.

The body of Cammi Denee Miller, 33, was found May 9 on Tipple Road. The sheriff's office said Miller was a longtime resident of Iron County.

CEDAR CITY — The body found on a rural road near Cedar City was identified Tuesday.

Friday, deputies from the Iron County Sheriff's Office received reports of a "suspicious circumstance" on Tipple Road around two miles south of Cedar City. The deputies discovered the body of a deceased female near the side of the road, police said.

Industrial accident claims life

On 02-01-14 at approximately 1745 hours, emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a medical near 2700 South Comstock Road at the CML Metals mines (Comstock/Mountain Lion Mine).
