Mountain Cabin Burglar Suspect

The Iron County Sheriff's Office is requesting information on a wanted subject for mountain cabin burglaries. This subject (described as a 30-year-old six-foot 180 pound male Caucasian with a beard) was last seen wearing a baseball cap, snow boots, snow shoes, green wool or green tight sweatpants, a black slicker or windbreaker coat, and a green colored backpack with the hydration tube system built-in.

A person matching the above description is wanted for questioning by the iron County Sheriff's office in connection with multiple mountain cabin burglaries occurring during the winter months of 2010 2011.

This person was last seen on May 1, 2011 snowshoeing cross-country on the North Fork Rd. near the Esplin ranch which is located south of Navajo Lake, and approximately 20 miles north of Highway 9 in Kane County. This person may have possibly been in route to mount caramel junction to get supplies.

It is believed this person may live in the mountain areas of iron, Kane, or Garfield County's year round. This person should be considered armed and dangerous!

A $1000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the whereabouts, arrest and conviction of this person. If you know or have seen this person please call 911 or, the iron County Sheriff's office at 435-867-7500.
