The Iron County Sheriff’s Office Junior Deputy Academy is a unique experience offered by the Sheriff’s Office for high school students. It gives the students an inside look into the world of Law Enforcement. It is a three week class available for high school students, including those who have just graduated. It is run M-F from 8 to 5 at the Iron County Sheriff’s Office. It is run annually and this year is is from June 6th through June 24th 2016. There is no cost for tuition or materials. Lunches will be provided. However the student is required to purchase uniforms (These costs are usually less than $100). If this cost is too much for the student to bear other arrangements can be made. (No student will be turned away for financial reasons).
